Sundays Hunt w/ 6" HF coil

Pulled my first token today hunting in the woods and was amazed it was over 9" deep.
I was hunting an area that goes back 175 years and hits were at minimum so I had the sens cranked up to 30 and she was running smooth:wiggle:
Also pulled a 23 Merc and a 1913 Buffalo before calling it a day.

Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the great hunt! I really like the token and the silver and Buff are always good to find, Beale.

Nice finds, so would it be safe to say you like the 6" HF coil?

Like you, I've been amazed at the depth of detection offered by the 6-inch DD at 18.75 kHz. But considering the inherit properties of the differing frequencies, I would still like Minelab to consider making a small coil at 3 kHz. Now that X-Terra series includes three detectors (instead of just the X-70) capable of using that lower frequency, I'm convinced the market would warrant their investment. JMHO HH Randy

Just wondering does the 6" DD HF have a coil cover. I had read somewhere they didn't? That's the last coil I've got to procure, just waiting on the right priced used one.

Minelab's part number for the X-Terra 6-inch coil cover is part# 2004-0076. Your Minelab dealer should be able to hook you up with one. HH Randy

Digger,
I haven't got the 3 khz coil in my arsenal yet but if ML came out with a 6" LF, I would get one.
What amazed me on that token is it was a very clear signal. Not faint, not weak and it didn't bounce around too much. Also, I am just using a 25.00 pair of headphones. I can say for sure that more than half of my good finds in the past 1.5 months I would not have found with my M6. Not to take anything away from Whites as it was a good starter machine for me but I just had a feeling that I was missing so much more.
