Had a little luck today, a few wheats two Indians, one was corroded pretty bad couldn't get a good picture, what looks to be a 1934 Italian coin of some sort and a cool little silver ring.

Butch, I wish my IH's would come out that nice, love the ring, haven't dug one of those in a long time, and I have dug 6 of them, gave them to my daughter and she gave them to her friends

Hi caretaker, My Indians are usually pretty toasted, I give them a bath in boiling peroxide for about ten minutes. It works wonders at lifting the crud off. I put some peroxide into a small plastic cup, microwave the peroxide until it boils and then drop a few Indians in for ten minutes or so, then use a toothbrush to brush off some of the stubborn crud. It will darken the coins a bit but they do come out pretty nice. It works on most, but not all. I hear you about the rings, my daughter does the same thing, claims all my jewelry before I even find it. I try to talk her into coming out with me and finding her own but she wants nothing to do with that.

Good looking finds, Butch!

Very nice...I think the ring is a variation on the Cladaugh ring...I wonder if the Emerald is real??? As John said...That Itallian coin May be Silver...Nice digs...
