Well, I went at it alone today even though I offered up an invite to my friend (his headphones are in route).
I cannot really blame him as it was quite cold (around 32*) with wind.
I did not feel like going to far being I figured i would get cold so, I headed back to a home built around 1860 I have hunted before.
It is a large place with many buildings and a lot of land.
I first decided to poke around the spot i had hit hardest in the past and mustered more goodies including 9 wheaties, 46 rosie, 36 ca. penny, a button, and 2 keys and a old 1800's susp. buckle. Quite a bit of junk in the bag as well.
Then, I decided to poke around out further in the front near a natural spring area and got a 26 wheatie. I then ventured out a lil more into the big open area and wham got that sweet oh my kinda sound.
Being I was down in the lower area the ground was really moist allowing me to pull a deep plug. It was like cutting soft butter.
The coin was not in the plug so deeper I went and out popped a 1851 LC (3 pics of it one right out of the dirt, one laying on my gloves, then one washed off). Funny thing is 2 days ago I got a 50 LC. Wonder what the odds are a 52 comes next. I bet not very good LOL.
The nice thing about the further out I ventured the less I had to dig wheaties and the ground was allot cleaner. Normally cleaner is not better but, being cold I was able to move along quicker.
Now, I cant wait to get back there again.
Hope everyone had a nice day hunting or not.
Funny story on the picture with what appears to be a hole I dug. That is actually a hole made by a mole I discovered once I went diving after an iffy signal (plug already pulled back). My probe X1 probe went right down into it.
I think that lil mole stole my iffy.
