Sunday Was Good...

I drove around trying to get in somewhere for about two hours. It must have been so that I would end up at the old hotel site. The owners were just getting out of the car when I pulled up. Super nice folks and said go ahead and good luck. I hunted up their drive to the road and the first good signal was this 1831 large cent! It was only down about 4-5". I was shocked. Of course I couldn't help thinking this was going to be good. I dug some bent up stuff, but it took two hours before I dug the next coin - 1851 Large Cent! Two LC in one day is a very rare occurrence around here. I ended up digging a few wheats, a thimble and do-dads. I gave the land owner the '51. I will be back to this spot for sure. Love this cooler weather!

Funny, not sure if you saw my post, but I too dug two LCs on Sunday! Very rare here too! Mine we spaced about 5 feet and about 5 mins apart - couldn't believe it!!. Mine were Classic Head which are my eldest, but you got dates on yours - mine were pretty toasted. Good job!
