Here is everything from today with the AT-Pro:

Here are a few of the better items. The dollar coin is dedicated to Uncle Willy who can't get out and dig his own for now. I have found about 10 of them in the past month which is AOK in my book. Silver dime and big silver ring. The ring is the highest VDI keeper I've found so far at 93.

The site I went to has produced four or five of these. Rang up around VDI of 81-83 and it was deep. Probably 10 inches. It was a one way signal.

I'm not going to clean it further. Large Cents I've found in the past have lost too much detail with even light cleaning. The obverse is as rough as the reverse but the date is visible. 1811 which is the oldest coin thus far with my ATP.

My only encounter was with the grounds keeper who pointed out some areas I should hit. He also asked if I would dig him a few worms, which I did. As it had just rained about every hole had 2-3 worms wriggling around anyway. Good times, as usual.

Nice finds Chris......check the red book stats on that large cent !

I did. Low mintage but poor condition. It's going in my book so, no matter.

Chris

Yeah, I will never sell my finds if I can help it, but it's still fun to dig-up those scarcer coins....HH !!

"Low mintage, but poor condition."

That about sums it up. The coin books are nice references, but one may as well mark out the prices found there.

But any way you look at it finding a Large Cent is a great feat. Good work on the day, Chris.

I sell most of the gold I find which has not been any lately. (I still have all from last year, though!) I will also sell the silver jewelry (2 plus kilograms since I measure it in grams) at some point. I was about ready to pull the trigger as silver headed toward $50/ounce. How much can you keep? Plus, you can always go get more. My first serious year I hoarded all the clad until the end of the year. It was 5605 coins and let me tell you it was a pain to deal with all at once. I put all of the rarer stuff and some of the not so rare stuff in my brag book and that is not for sale. (Make me an offer!)

Chris

:thumbup:on the silver and old coin !

When did you get an ATPRO? Do yu still have the 2500?

Great finds by the way!!

HH!!!

I see you got a new paper towel, too!

I got the AT Pro around April 1st. I like it a lot. I still think I like the 2500 more. It's close anyway. The best thing about getting a new machine is that it makes all those old boring sites I go to seem new, at least for awhile.

I have to get the 2500 out soon as I'm around 18 bucks from $7000.00 worth of finds with it.

Nice to hear from you, Kyle.

Chris

It had been used once or twice. I rarely seem to get all the stuff from old hunts put up before I go out and get more. There is a corner of my house that is always piled up with loot so the paper towels tend to hang around even when I'm not in "green" mode.

Chris

What's with all the Ss lately? I still want to know why you use the concentric coil on your ATP.
