On sunday i went back to a site i have searched many times before, it was a sailmakers until 1942 . The U S moved in and made a A A site, i have only found aussie coins here.
Near a bunker i found a fob watch, marked made in USA, also parts of three more. Maybe standard issue at the time? Just nearby i found three half pennys, 1933, 1934, 1939 , the condition is very good concedring the salt . The shore line is only 20yrds away. A new road is being bult through the site so i may have to spend all my spare time here before it is closed off for good.
Townsville was the biggest U S base in the southern hemisphere in ww11 ,all i have to do is recover the relics before the suburbs and roads take over.
Still using standard coil an the 70, but ordering a 3khz I like what you guys are telling me about them.
Hope the pix are ok.
Thanks guys!

Nice finds!
