SUNDAY HUNT 2 INDIANS

Back at Burnet woods in Cincinnati. Hunting for about 2 1/2 hours. Only 2 coins were these Indians, 1890 and 1899 both V.D.I 78-79. One was 2'' down the other was 5''. Hunting with the T-2, settings sens - 99, disc - 50, tones - 1. Also on the same hunt found this madallion. At the same park Saturday found the Silver spoon. The spoon has a A.K on the handle and says J&A GARDENER on the back.

Good hunting, it is always fun to find Indians and those are excellent. We still have too much snow and ice to get out this past week but I am hopeful for the weekend coming up. Again, congrats!

Old silverware is always cool to find. I found a similar spoon about a moth ago in an open field, weird.

You had a break in the weather or you just couldn't take any more of that 'cabin fever' stuff.

While I am especially fond of finding old silver coins, one of the reasons is because all too often the non-silver coins seem to come out a bit worn or cruddy. Certain areas I like to have have very favorable ground and when the Indian Head cents look as good as yours, it sure brings greater satisfaction. I trust your patience and good fortune continues throughout the year.

Oh, I'll also say 'Thank You' for posting the detector model and settings. I'll just presume it was with the stock 11" DD coil.

You got that right!!!

I hate reading old posts where someone states that they're getting great depth etc. with their so and so detector, but don't fill you in on any of the details.:ranting:

Nice finds !!!

Thanks everybody, we had a little break in the weather meaning snow, but still cold. I have been out the last couple weekend with no good finds. And i was using the 11'' coil hunting in the woods. Tom
