I went to the school I've been searching the past several weekends. I was working a grid in an area where I had pulled up some older coins before. I was digging some junk signals as well, hoping for some jewelry. I was surprised with some of the recoveries, as I managed to get a 1954 2 Groschen coin, 1971 Mexican Un Peso, along with some scrap metal. Then, in one area, I got a sweet, soft, High Coin signal at an indicated 5". I flipped over a large plug, and saw a mottled grey-and-black dime looking back up at me. Now, clad comes out of here bright red, so I knew this one was silver. Here's what it looks like cleaned up:

A few minues later, and about 10' away, I got another soft, High Coin hit at an indicated 5". When I flipped over the plug, nothing. I started scanning the loose dirt when I saw it. A BIG mottled grey-and-black reeded edge. Here she is, cleaned up:

That makes my sixth silver quarter this year. I seem to be on a roll lately with silver.
