Well, today I went out to a county park I was at two weeks ago. I found four Wheat's there last time, so I was hoping to find some more, and maybe a silver dime today. I wasn't disappointed.

I started off close to the waterline, as that's where I found all the Wheat's and silver at my "Wheatfield" two years ago. I didn't find much there today, except for junk, trash, and some shallow clad. I started working a pattern further back from the waterline, near where I had recovered the Wheat's from two weeks ago. Sure enough, I pulled up a couple Wheat's, along with this:

Sweet! I haven't found a silver dime in several weeks.

I went to a different part of the park a little while later. I hadn't recovered anymore older coins, so I thought I'd go and look around the playground equipment and see if there was a baseball backstop over the hill. Well, I got to looking, and wasn't finding much of anything. There was a backstop, but again, nothing much. I did find an absolutely sweet-looking elm tree, just right for picnics, all by it's lonesome, in view of everything. I got under the branches, and yes, it's obviously not only a picnic spot, but a spot for the local's to guzzle there favorite beverages, judging from all the pulltabs and bottlecaps.

I was getting disgruntled, and beginning to think about leaving. I decided to work a lane along the boundary of the park, on my way out. It's on a slight incline, with parking above. Right off the bat, I got a nice high-coin hit at an indicated 4". Up comes another Wheat. Several feet away, here comes yet another Wheat, then this:

All right! Two silvers in one day. Been awhile.

I decided to start working a grid pattern back along the lane I had just searched. I ended up pulling up several more Wheat's, for a total of 10, dated '20, '29D, , 34, two '41S's, '44, '44D, '45, '55D, and a '57D.

Actually, I haven't posted it, but this past week has been pretty good to me with Wheat's, as I've found 19 total in 5 days. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the streak up tomorrow.

Note: the picture(s) might not show up due to bandwidth limitations. If the picture(s) are not there, check back at a later time.
