I did my usual this morning, and snuck out before going to work. I decided to head to the school I found the silver roosie at last week. Wouldn't you know it, I found another?

Within a few feet of that dime was a Wheat, a '57D, I believe. Well, I eventually had to go to work, so I took off. After a grueling day, I managed to leave early. I went ahead and went straight back where I left off. Not too long into that lane, I got a weird signal, bouncing Foil/Nickel/Pullring, at an indicated 5". Well, I like to investigate oddball signals at known older sites, so I dug this one up. I was expecting some "can slaw", but careful dirt removal uncovered a Nickel. I instantly knew what I had, from the bouncing signal it gave, to the small shiny spot on the reverse that I could see. I had my second War Nickel, a '42S. Here's a cleaned-up pic:

I managed to get two more Wheat's after that, a '56D and a '58. I also got a few pieces of scrap brass and a piece of scrap lead. At another part of the field, I got a loud High Coin signal at an indicated 4". I thought it was a little on the loud side and a little big for a 4" coin, but I dug it anyway. When I flipped the plug over, I saw the bottom of a milk-glass cold-cream jar staring at me. My "signal" was the lid to the jar, which was at 4", go figure. Nothing was in the jar, I know, because I looked :) With all that junk, I'm wondering if there used to be a house there at one time.
