sunday 5/6

Jeff and I will be talking pretty shortly. We haven't decided where yet, but I think we are agreed on the what. Chuck Collins said last night that we should be rain free until late afternoon. I'll post again after I talk to Jeff. Did you have a site in mind?

You guys have fun, most Sundays have turned into a work day for me.

Did you guy's make it out today? The highlight of the day for me was a 1957D Wheat pennie. First one of the month.

Well you kicked my butt, Robbie. Jeff and Steve both found Wheat, but no silver was found. I did have a couple metal detecting firsts today though. My first hunt with tornado sirens. My first hunt with hail. And my first hunt where at least 2 inches fell during our one hour rain delay. But we sat it out and continued on.

You guy's stayed out during all of that happening??? That's hardcore detecting at it's finest. :detecting:

Well we survived the bad weather while hunting today and I got a few pics of our ordeal. I also got a pic of Steve digging up a Harley. :detecting:

Goodness, you guys did tough it out. That hail looks wicked and glad you were in a shelter to go to. Talk about an exciting day of detecting! :detecting: Thanks for the pictures and the stories guys, HH, Nancy

Good year Robbie! HH, Nancy

Sure wish I could have joined you. Went down to Southern Illinois over the weekend to pick up the fish fillets for the club hunt fish fry. Figuring that with all the rain here it should be wet down there also so we took our detectors instead of our fishing poles. WOW, what a surprise. It was bone dry and the ground was like cement. Wish I had taken the poles instead of the detectors. Looks like everyone had a good time. Maybe we can join you next time.

Well didn't find alot and in spite of the weather,it was still nice to get out! Thanks to Dave &Jeff for gettin me out of the house!

Sorry it wasn't a better day for you. What with the drive you had and all. Sunday 5-6 was Steve' 56th birthday. He was born in '56. And the date of one of the Wheats he found was of course 1957 ?????
