Sunday,11/14:Making memories-Better than riches".............

........Sunday(Yesterday)11/14:during the sermon,Pastor was talking about the Lord giving out good gifts.and then I heard this:"Speaking of good gifts,I would like to bring up Steve(ME!!!);and his gift of musical ability"-I was caught off-guard;TOTALLY unexpected!!!I was asked where I thought my musical inclination came from:I said"WELL,my father played musical instruments-BUT-My ability to play came straight from the LORD,thru my father."............Last night was our Harvest Supper,to benefit our local Food Bank to feed the hungry.Both my sisters showed up;my congregation welcomed them with open arms.My wife brought our 87 year old neighbor,whom knew everybody at our church-We were ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY last night......OH YEAH!!!-I played my 6-string and drove the mice out into the street-Did John Denver,"Me and Bobby McGee", Bucky Covington's"Different Life",and Lisa and me-one of the women at Church that sings like an angel-teamed up to do a song we did in the past;"Battle Hymn Of The Republic"-Everybody was joining in on the chorus!!! A WONDERFUL TIME HAD BY ALL!!!When my sisters left,one of them turned to me and said"Ive only got ONE thing to say to you,mister"!!!-Then she gave me a hug and said"I am SO proud of you,and I LOVE you!!!"..........................Making memories with friends,congregation members,and family-another gift from the LORD!!!

Amen, Steve, Amen!! God gives us the talents He wants each one of us to have and He gave you the talent of playing beautiful Music to glorify Him and to bring joy to all who hear and join in with singing and praise! Amen! So happy that all went well and hope there was lots of donations of money and food for the Food Bank! Ma Betty
