Sun Ray Pro Gold compatible w/ctx headphone question.

I purchased the sun ray pro golds with the red knobs that are compatible with the ctx.
I noticed that with the toggle in the up position, the sound would come out the machines external speaker and was very loud though the headphones too.
With toggle in the middle position, the sound only came out the machine.
With the toggle in the down position , the sound only came out the headphones but was not very loud. Is this normal for the sun rays on the ctx?
With the toggle in the down position, with sound only coming from the headphones, it difficult to hear. My standard Koss phones are louder and thr only have the 100ohm speakers
Am I missing something?

I still want to know how people keep the right angled plug in the elongated recessed socket I am missing something also....

koss ph's are wired in stereo with no switches which divert some power with added resistance I would guess making them not as loud so take the speakers outta the pro golds and put them in the koss that would work you would get much louder pro golds in a koss case

On my CTX the headphone volume was set at 15, where external speakers are set at 30. With my Gray Ghosts had to turn internal headphone speaker volume up to 30.
Hope this helps

According to manual pg.55 external speaker on detector and external speaker on WM10 are set at 30. On headphones on detector and WM10 are set at 15. May need to turn up volume on volume limit to 30 on detector headphones as per pg. 55 in manual.
Hope this helps
