Sun Ray loops

Hi folks,newby to forum. I just got a new CZ3d with 8"stock loop and have not used it yet, whatcha think about using Sun Ray 12 1/2" loop on it. I also have CZ20 w/8" but can't change that cause it's hardwired and may leak and void the life-time warranty. But I'd really like to try a large loop on the land machine, bet it goes deep huh? but that's just me. Money must be burnin' a hole in your pocket! Anyhow, depends on where you hunt. If you're hunting in the woods or plowed fields, etc... (the recommended pre-1950 sites for this machine) I would consider the bigger coil. If you're doing parks and schools and trashy sites, you're gonna want a SMALLER coil, or the 8" stock for best performance. I think the 8" coil is damn fine. Fisher really selected the best size coil for all types of hunting with the 8".

I'm just imagining a 12" coil on the 3D in enhanced mode at a trashy modern park... it would make you nuts... signals everywhere, you'd just be overloaded, and I doubt you'd be able to find much.
