Summer School vs 2500 Bucks a Bust

What seemed like a great idea has been flattened for now as I am going through a divorce and looking for fall work. The idea was I was going to metal detect to earn 2500 bucks instead of teaching summer school to emotionally disturbed kids. I'm actually doing summer school as well. (At a different site, real emaotionally disturbed kids.) Any way, thanks for everyone's support on the idea. Actually only gotten out a few times since the post. Few merc's. shiel nickel, nothing worth cash. Des AKA Acornhead in Buffalo

thanks for following up anyways, and im sorry to hear what youre going through. unfortunately i can sympathize with you as well. i also know that pain.

It's hard enough to find 2500 bucks detecting these days, let alone having to earn that much.
The dollars might be there but they sure don't go very far at the gas pump, grocery store or keeping the lights on anymore.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hang in there, stay positive and hope we meet in the field.
Cheers

Sorry to hear about the divorce. Not fun in any way.

Hopefully, it wasn't a result of your summer detecting plan!

Sorry to hear about the turn of events. I read the first post and thought it was a stretch but thought if you hit it hard you could do it. I figured it would take a big find to hit the $2500 goal. I probably save $2500 a year metal detecting. I would have to find something else to entertain myself. I hope you have some better luck in the future.
