I have a pair of Killer'B II optima's with dual volume controls my problem is they dont turn down low enough on any of my Tesoro detectors , at the lowest volume they cause my right eardrum to reverberate ,prehaps its a problem with my right ear but I also have a killer'B Stinger that I use on my right ear without any problems ...So I would like to know from users of Killer'B's and other brands what brand is adjustable to a lower volume ...any advice is appreciated

And used them on the Cibola and Tejon. The low volume is low enough for Tesoros and if your hard of hearing the high volume setting is plenty loud for you guys.

I like them, I was able to tell the difference between a dime sound and others using the Cibola after about 40 minutes after I turned on the detector in the field for the first time.

the volume on the Killer'B optimas does not go low enough for me I have used them on several tesoros including the Tejon , I would like to hear from users that have used the Killer'bs plus some other Brands to get an idea of what brand I should choose to replace them

I've use a small variety of headphones. I have Gray Ghost Nugget busters which serve very well, a set of Whites, a set of Garrretts ,. a set of Calrads and recently picked up a set of Koss QZ99. I like and have had good results with all of them, but don't particularly like the Calrads, they sound fuzzy compared to the others.. The QZ99's are the most comfortable and have a wide range of volume adjustment. They all go more than low enough in volume. Tne Gray Ghosts and the QZ99's definitely block out external noise far better than the others, as well. I got the QZ99's off Ebay from BUY.COM at a pretty decent price - $40.25, shipped. You might look on Koss's website and read up on them.

I run the Sunray Pro Golds. I can dial theose down to the point wher I can almost not hear my hits. Very comfy and pick up the little hits well, Beale.

mine adjust low , one other thing i do is hang them around my neck and crank the volume i can hear the beeps just fine and i stay cooler

thanks for the advice guy's , I was originaly going to get SRP Golds , but I opted for the cheaper Kill B optimas .....anyway Ive sold them already and am considering GreyGhost Rattlers , I like single cup phones .....I checked out the QZ99's they sure are cheap enough an look Ok but I rekon I'I look for some single cup phones anybody used the rattlers ???? quailty of'em OK ??? good range of volume adjustment ?? ...

Hey Trueblue - I use Rattlers single cup and I love them. They are my first set of quality headphones so I cant compare them to any other model of headphones. They have great sound and I can def hear those very faint, deep targets. Good volume controI easy to turn on/off. I really like the single cup. I take my dog T-hunting in the woods so I can keep a track on him as well as hear a moose approaching or a bear. I have come across both with no incident as I noticed them in the distance and slowly walked the other direction. That alone will keep me loyal to single cup headphones. If you want to "zone in" on the sound of your targets, you can always take and ear plug with you and block any noise coming your one ear while focusing on the sound of the target with your other. They are also cooler in the summer heat. Just my opinion...

I usually use Ratphone and Sunray Pro Gold. They turn way down till I can't hear, so I usually turn them up till I hear well. Been happy with both sets.
