Success this weekend but have questions about audio 2...

Finally getting the hang of this thing. Went to a local park and worked the mulch playground area. It was my first time using the X-1 (which I would HIGHLY recommend!)

Picked up a nice sterling silver bracelet made in Italy and a small 10K kids ring.

All in all, I'm picking up some deep targets now and have settled in on working with very little disc, (IM -14) in Audio 2 and Ferrous. Deep on, fast off/ on depending on conditions, Limits and variability at max, Gain at 7 or 8. While I had trouble in the beginning getting the sensitivity right, I'm able to get it just to the brink of instability and make it work. It's starting to make sense now. Can't wait for the warmer weather so I can hit the beach.

Now the questions:

Anyone work in audio 2?

How does it work with regard to co-located targets? It seems to separate targets and "lock in" very well making it really easy to pinpoint a target.

Anything in particular to listen for or tips on using it?

Should I be digging high toned deep hits that tend to "break up" or "clip" (can't really describe it) while still holding the tone?

Thanks

Audio 1, 2, and 3 will give better ID of a target. However, the signal is pulled out so sounds long as you know. This is the tricky part in that co-located targets in ferrous will blend together. Let's say there is iron next to silver and we sweep the two targets using Audio 2. We hear a flutty sound composed of low and high tones. This tells us there are co-located tagets and the longer hit gives the microprocessor more time to calculate the ID. I often use Audio1 but not Audio2 becasue I have not found any advantage, for me, of going from Normal or Audio1 to audio2 or audio3. As far as I can tell Audio1, 2,and 3 are digital filtering. I really like Auido1 in wide open ground for ID of those really deep targets.

Have a great day,
