Stupid question

I forget. I had to call MineLab a few years ago when I got mine and they told me where to find the number.
 
I remember the battery was inside the plastic case this may be the same for the unit. But check the coil also.
 
Not that he mentioned that, I think the serial number shows up inside the clear battery compartment.

The battery and the detector have different serial numbers.

Ok since I had just sent in my Excalibur for warranty repair service. I had my warranty card info handy. All three have different numbers. The coil is right on the coil. the battery is through the clear plastic case as is the main body of the detector. I had written on the card I could not see the full serial number on the battery that My card came filled in from the factory and used there numbers.

I just looked at one of mine, there are numbers in the pod directly under the pinpoint knob, that would be on the bottom, 180degrees from the pinpoint button
