Stumped (advice?)

I have been doing quite a bit of research and and having some real trouble making a decision. I haven't swung a detector in about 9 years. i am getting back into the hobby and will be buying a new machine. I'm torn between so many models. The price is no longer a factor so I ask all. Do i spend 1000 plus and get an explorer2 Garrett 2500 or consider the new Ace 250. My only real concerns are depth as I will be searching islands down south that hardly see any foot traffic so I'm not worried about junk and will be digging all hits. Also non motion mode might be more of plus for me since the islands are very over grown and in some spots swinging wont be so easy.

I was a Garrett 2500 guy for about 5 or 6 years. A lot of the people in my club that find the deep old stuff use the explorer. I always thought I didn

I would like to see if anyone could tell me why I only got continuous beeps and didnt find anything but a few pieces of junk and very little else. I had a conquistador and an old shadow 2. I have found a lot of stuff on other fresh water beaches. Thanks. Vicki Adams

The Explorer Hands down! There are things it can do that no other can!

Those two machines really don't offer a good ID. So they beep, and you dig. The ones that offer a good target ID and depth are the way to go. Then you can look at the ID and not dig the junk.
