I like Mezzcans, too. I was rasied among them, and even speak enough Spanish to get by on. Nice finds in 'el barrio bajo,' Dave.

[size=large]Hay Jasper,

I forgot to mention the metal detector.
I was using Tesoro Euro Sabre. It is much like a Eldorado with an Iron ID
feature.

Both those units are amazing how they can find small gold jewelry in a
place that is infested with iron.

Last year I restarted MDing after a 24 year layoff. I bought a Bounty Hunter
Quick Draw II. I think that's just like your BH 202.

It did not pick up small gold jewelry very well.

I got a Garrett GTAx 500 used. It did not pick up small gold jewelry very well
either. I didn't know why.

I got a Fisher 1266 used. I think it had a bad coil. Not sure.

I got another Fisher but it had problems also. Only worked a couple of hours.

This all happened in just a few months.

Finally a dealer sent me a used Cibola.

In two hours of use, I was ready to chunk the displays and sluggish response.

I found something that is a pleasure to hunt with and very sensitive to small

gold jewelry.

I have five Tesoro'es now. They all find small gold jewelry.

My $70 used Compadre probably found most of my gold. I call him Speedy.

Happy Hunting,
