Strongest Digger is?

BONE

New member
I've been using a couple different diggers and my last one is a razor edge gator that isn't a razor edge and dull as can be. This digger bent on me and wasn't hardened or it would of broke before bending like it did. It's china made and really not worth the money you pay. It's life time guaranteed so they are going to take it back. But the normal is to send it back with you paying another 10 bucks to get it shipped to you. So there is a catch to there lifetime guarantee as you will pay 10 bucks every time and I don't think the digger is worth 10 bucks. Maybe I'm being heavy handed but I don't want to screw around about digging a hole and if I'm using nothing but one hand to dig with, I shouldn't be able to bend it no matter what.

Any advice please?

Used a Lesche Digger for years and never had a problem with it at all. Switched to the Raptor a few years back and absolutely love it! Raptor gets my vote for sure.

Thanks I'll think I'll go with the Lesche this time. Next will be to make a 3/16 heat treated steel one. Maybe more.

Thanks for all your advice!

Terry

don't know notin, if my wife was digging my finds, the first hole she would dig would be for me. HH jim tn

I've pried some pretty big rocks out with my Lesche digger. It's really a great tool. GREAT! Glad I had the $$$$$.:usaflag::bounty:

I've used lesches and the predator tools digger (that is basically the same). Loved them all. I would not use anything else... period.

edit: I actually like the predator tools digger a bit more.... since it is slightly longer & wider (heftier overall)& has a hunter-orange handle. I like the orange better as it is easier to see at dusk if you've dropped it somewhere.

I just got a Predator Raptor and it is one serious digger. It is built like a hand held shovel. I doubt that a person could ever break it. I have had a Lesche all purpose digger for four years and it will wear down to nothing before it breaks. You can't go wrong with either of them. R.L.

I would recommend the Predator model 85. As mentioned above: the Lesche and Predator are "basically" the same. But there is one BIG difference; here's the story as I understand it.

George Lesche, the man behind the original Lesche digger, had a partner. I have heard this "partner" was also a close relative, but it really doesn't matter. Things somehow fell apart or there were irreconcilable issues between them so they split. George moved on. Lesche continues to produce the original digger but heres the thing. George (and wife) started Predator tools. All products from Predator are 100% AMERICAN MADE BY AMERICAN WORKERS ON AMERICAN SOIL USING AMERICAN STEEL AND OTHER AMERICAN MATERIALS!!! I don't know about you but I will always, always buy American unless there is no other alternative!!!

Please support our economy and country and buy American when possible. If you want Chinese products go live in China!!! You will not be disappointed with the Predator!!!
