I am selling my Eldorado. That will leave with just three VLF discriminator metal detectors. I am selling the Eldorado because it performs almost exactly like the Euro Sabre with one less feature that I use and one more feature that I don't use. I use the Iron ID feature on the Euro but I don't use the frequency shift on the Eldorado.

Now I'm down to:

Euro Sabre
Silver Sabre uMax
Compadre

Those three detectors are each very different machines, yet they are each great machines in their on realm.

To compliment those MD's I also have:

Chicago Steel Tape ferris metal detector

Killer B's Optima Headphones
Gray Ghost Original Headphones

Tiny Tec pin pointer
Bounty hunter pin pointer. Like to replace with White's Bullseye

I have pouches and digging and recovery tools.

I re-started metal detecting going on 6 months ago. Now I feel like I'm just almost where I want to be. There's always something els, but I feel I'm on a maintainable level where I can start the new year and the coming Spring with the tools I need to advance in our hobby.:)

HH,

Looks good, sounds good, you've got a plan, and it appears you are right on track. My Compadre arrived yesterday with the :pulltab:dog stamp of approval.

I am still waiting on my Tinytec holster, Tesoro carry bag, 4" coil, lower arm and cover for my SS II's, and assorted other accessories. I got a slug of stuff coming from Ron at Dixie MD sales. His website is very user friendly and I found the prices on the accessories I needed were very reasonable. Oh, and a coil cover, and rain jacket for the Compadre.

At some point, I need to try a pair of the Gray Ghost headphones to see how they compare to my cheapies. Maybe I am missing slight tone signals.

We are experiencing 50 mph winds this morning with a new cold front moving in turning the rain from yesterday into ice. Two more months of this crap to go, and then it will be time to fire all this equip up and attack my research spots.
