Strikes GOLD and SILVER

I made a run to the beach today and managed to get there 2 hours before low tide and worked the lane and low surf for 3 1/2 hrs. I didn't get anything for the first hour and moved to another beach not too far away with nice results!!! This beach has been pounded with no new deposits lately and doesn't give up much. I worked the second location for 45 min without many targets and then saw a slight cut about 8 feet wide running down to the water. I worked this from the lane down to the water and started picking up deeper and newer shallow clad with pull tabs and sinkers! I knew the jewelry had to be near and I studied the water carefully for any deeper cuts or pans. Well, I went in thigh level and started working a pattern back and forth listening for the whispers. I found a low area around 20 x 30' and started working this real slow at near chest level while hitting some nice targets!!! I ended up pulling up 4 rings (2-gold, 2 silver) and 3 earrings (1 gold and 2 silver) with lots of clad and junk!!! I also got a beautiful wooden surf lure (big lure) that was bobbing near in the water. I was using the Infinium today (Green monster) and the 8" mono coil. All in all, I had a great time at the beach and was thankful to be able to do the gold dance today!:wiggle:

reaches down to Davy's locker!!!! One thing to remember is the Infinium is a super sensitive detector (more sensitive than other PI units) and requires research, knowledge and practice to get the settings correct for different situations. I've got around 50 hrs on it and still learning. Once you have this machine setup correctly, it's lethal on the deep targets!!! I can't stress enough about reading up and practice to really learn what the machine is telling you. There's a bunch of experts on the P2P forum that can really help reduce the learning curve on this wicked machine!!! I would not recommend this detector for any beginners or someone just getting into water hunting. I would not recommend if its your only machine and plan on beach/dry sand hunting (VLF better for that). The Infinium is a pro-level pulse machine best used in pounded out locations, surf and serious water hunting. It can get down to depths where most other machines only dream about. I have no issues in salt with high mineralization on the North East coast using the 8" mono coil and loads of tips and tricks from various forums!!! This detector has a learning curve but if time is spent the great finds will start to show!!!! If an older Infinium is purchased, you should be aware that software updates might be needed to make it more stable and to correctly work with the mono-coils! Contact Garrett with the serial num to see if it's needed on that specific machine. HH:beers::garrett::usaflag::whites:
