Or a flat out lie. I was on craigslist just browsing detectors ,not that i need another one.
The ad read Top of the line detector, Yea in the early 1980s when it came out.:goodnight:
Will detect a penny up to 18 inches, deeper on silver and gold.
Yea i bet if its in a 55gallon drum.:biteme:
Have not found a better machine. Then why sell it .

I did not put the brand because it does not matter. 325.00

I hear ya. I'm always a bit skeptical on depth claims, but especially when they're way beyond what you'd expect. I've detected targets to 18" or so, but they were always large like gallon sized cans, large iron and the like, not penny sized.

Buried pop cans in the sand will do it:laugh:

But I will say........If you ever find a machine that detects pennies at 18"..Please, please..share the name LOL..cause I sure do want one that will do that.. Hahahahaha

Elton, I don't think it's worth digging an 18'' hole for a penny. I'm not that hungry.

At anything less than a Double-Eagle at 18" you can keep it. I'm way too old, wornout and just plain too tired to be interested in digging pennies at 18"

I just tumbled over 300 pennies for 3 hours. My wife looked at them and said is it worth tumbling the pennies for the electricity it cost??? Happy Trails....Z

I keep digging the cruddy zincs because I've found several rings that ID or disc out at the same settings. Other wise pennies generally don't excite me even though 100 still make a dollar.

Dankowski recently sold an engineer's prototype of a 1266-X Magnum. The guy that bought it verified it can hit a mans wedding band at 22" and a pull tab at 21". It took 8 AA's and 2 9V's. I should've bought it :) Do a search on his site for 1266-X Magnum and you can see the ad as well as the report.

Or it's creative writing. Or great salesmanship. I had a friend that could sell ice cubes to Eskimos,

Maybe a Sd2200v2 or GPX 4500 or a Sovereign GT, with a 15" W.O.T. coil :lmfao:

:rofl:Be honest now you bought the detector, and now you want to know what we thought,so that you could feel better.Come on you can fess up anytime now.
