While detecting with Dr.Bob last week I got a very iffy signal and decided to dig .Out pops these three tiny turtles along with a bent nail.I carefully replaced them and covered them back up.Hope they make it through the winter.

Wow.. now that's different! My wife loves turtles, she has one in a 30 gal. tank now that I won for her at a carnival a year ago...

What did they ring up as on the CTX Ray? I guess the salt water in their veins must have got your attention.. :)

That is the coolest thing I've ever heard, and a picture to prove it; three little turtles dug in for the winter. I guess it was the nail that caused you to dig.
HH, Don.....

I've heard of guys finding Parrot Shells . . . . . :clapping:

I think some turtles hatch underground and winter over until the spring time...I've wondered since I've seen little turtles busting up off a river bank in the early summer/springtime...pretty sure they were last years crop that just didn't crawl out in the Fall..never really gave it much thought, but your picture sort of proves that out...anybody know for sure? I think it could be geographically and weather related, we have put turtle eggs in sand in an incubator and had them hatch in late summer and come out of the dirt. Hmm.
