Strange SE PRO behavior

While hunting in my favorite 40 acre (empty) field yesterday, I got a good hit in an area that SHOULD produce something. My doo-hicky locked hard in right upper corner, and would not unlock from there when I moved away. I turned my machine off, tried again, with the same result- a lock that was literally, locked. I even tried it a third time, and the result was the same, a non-moving lock. Three times is enough for me, because I am crazy, but not stupid. Any learned thoughts on such behavior? Smart Alec remarks? How about remarks for the good of the Order?

Once the curser locks onto a hit, it won't move until it detects another target. If the field is clean then throw down a penny to check. Did you dig the target? What was it?

I agree.... did you dig it? Might have been a LARGE close to the surface target like a can. They hit hard and arent going to move from the cursor position. Like was said... until it detects another target the cursor remains in the same position. You get those kind of hits... raise you coil, on cans you may still hear them a foot about the ground. Once you left the area did you try it? Did it work normally? If not try going back to FACTORY SETTINGS and reset you settings.
