Strange little hunt... take 2

So I go back in there today doing more gold research, GB showed a 48...which is weird, since most areas around here have given me a 78?, (at least when I take the time to check)...so I go hot!, 70 sens!, -2thresh!..

Got to thinking about this place, I have not found one silver ring out of here, even though its used heavy and sort of oldish, at a similar newer field not 2 miles away I've gotten 6?...I really took my time and moved pretty slow, concentrating on a constant coil speed/height, nice smooth wide swing, and overlapping the sweeps..up and back across the field, diagonally too, thinking about how well I know this dirt here and where all the action is... I get a strange signal, not a penny, but not a dime either..turned out to be this small box chain (925) with a junk medallion on it, took me a while to get it out of the roots without breaking it....got a Sac dollar, another mixed tight spill with a Q, P, N...got a lone rat token that are always a solid 67 and unmistakeable signal..Oh, got a 46d wheat too...

A few things that may be of some value...its hard to stab clad with the 'higher' sens, the signal is just too broad, not impossible, just takes a few more pokes than normal..especially the surface to 3" targets...anyway, this was a fun and out of the normal way of hunting for me...I believe theres gotta be a gold ring or chain in here, the absence of silver and even junk rings is a puzzle, but I'll think about why that could be later...lots of foil I can work on, its close enough to the house to be a good practice area, and has portapotties..
Mud.

Great score on the silver necklace. Your trash pile looks a little wimpy.:)

Is this with the F70 and 11" DD coil? Just curious.:drinking:

My hero does it again!!!WTG We only have one problem Your wife ls not going to let you keep displaying your finds on her fine china:rofl:I really think you should be more considerate Mudd.HH

Little silver and some coins, maybe not your usual standards, but still a nice hunt. Oh, next time you might want to scrap your dinner plate off before using it for a photo shoot. HH jim tn

Nice neckace! "rat token" - LOL, seems we all find good ole Chuck E! What's the earliest year rat token you've found?

Thanks fellers!

Careful what you wish for there Togg..I wouldn't wish being "me" on my worst enemy...I'm self employed, and my boss is a real @#$%&! Trash pile is a bit wimpy...these were just the representatives of all branches of their govt. Yep, 11" dd...its the only coil I have...my 'fine china' display table is an upside down turkey boiling cauldron, which also doubles as a fine mosquito breeder if turned upright..so I got a pot at least...getting my usual clad haul takes half the time, no trash, and twice the area covered...I have a heap of rat tokens, I guess I'll have to take a look at them? This is the biggest solid brass rat token I have found to date...King rat for sure!.
