I told you about running into my childhood friend at the hospital last week, the guy that was my best friend but we had not seen each other in 38 years. He asked if I knew Royal Ottmar? Well I just got a call from his brother and Jim died Sunday of a Heart attack. Very strange indeed
And sad. Treasure the "good" memories of days gone by Royal. I know that your heart was saddened to see him in a state that you hadn't expected. Nevertheless, many end up on a road that wasn't of their choosing.....at least not when of sound mind. May he truly rest in peace.
At our age, we are aware it can happen but it still shocks you when it happens. I've lost more old friends then I care to think about.
As Rob said, cherish the memories of the good times together.
I have never heard of anything like that ever happening before. You have a chance encounter after many years of not seeing each other, then this happens...very strange. Kelley (Texas)
the last I saw of Jim was when my mother was wheeled down the aisle and I was talking to her, Jim was walking into his sisters room, she is dieing and he looked our way and walked in and that was it. I will never forget it.
And relive some of those pleasant memories in your mind of when you guys were young and good buds. He's at peace and he knows your heart. That's the only thing that matters.
