Strange find

What state are you in?
Could be a high school or college pin that has a Spartan as their mascot.

Doesn't look like Knights of Columbus or Knights of Pythias. Some other fraternal order? Appears that there may be letters on the banner below the helmet.

In central Pennsylvania. Right outside of Harrisburg. Nothing in the area represents knights of any sort. It was found on an old farmstead built in the 1800s.

For exemple .... in the Begium army there is a division we call the " GENIE" .... it's a division that for example do building of bridges over rivers in war zones
They use the romen head ( with helmet) as part of there insigne.

So maby other contries use the same kind of symbols in their military insignes ... so the piece can be military related ??? from a GENIE division ???

Greetings
Wim
