Strange bands

The first band shown was found at a St. Regis pole & lumber treatment facility. It looks to be made of brass. The band is 7/8" wide and about 1 1/2" diameter. There is a single "M" stamped on the outer side of the band, while while the inside has rows of dimples with a wide X slot recessed into it. At the center of the X there is a single hole for what looks like a location for a flat head screw. Any idea what it is?

The next 2 pictures are of a band found in the lake near a location where an old restaurant once stood. It is an 1 3/8" wide and about an 1 1/2" diameter. There is a floral design all the way around the outside of the band. I don't think it's silver. When dropped on a hard surface the sound is a "dead thud", not a "ting" such as silver would make. (Lead?) It comes up in the Penny/Dime range on my analog White's 6000/Di PRO. Does someone know what this could be? One thought was it may be an old fancy table napkin holder. (???)

Thanks for looking!

The first one split open looks like a bushing. The hole would be a grease hole and the inside groves would be to help distribute the grease to the part it was attached to... but just a guess and not sure
Good luck on the other two....

Hi PULLTABBY & doublet2a,
I thought about the first item being a bushing but where it's "broken" or "has been cut" it's very smooth like the sides. There is no evidence of any grease inside of it. (Dug up a Model-T screw on grease cap for a wheel the other day & it was full of dried grease on the inside) Also the X slot only goes about half way around the inside. The edge of the hole protrudes outward on the outside, as if there was stress on it from what ever it was attached to, like a screw was holding it to something. But a good guess none the less. Thanks 4 looking!
