I have a XS 2 Pro on the original curved shaft with a meter. I relocated the control box to a behind the elbow mount on a aluminum shaft that extends 12 inches out of the tip of the original S shaft.

I went to a thrift store and bought a pair of crutches for about $2. I disassembled one crutch and used the tubing for the aluminum shaft. I deriveted one of the v clips and bolted it to the aluminum shaft to accept the control box.The tubing outside diameter is the perfect size to slip inside the s-shaft tube. It now balances perfect with the SEF 10 x 12 coil.

I have Excals on Anderson straight shafts.

I also slip a plastic bag over the control box to keep the salt air off of the box
