Straight shaft or other mods?

Anyone use a straight shaft on your Xterra? What about any other mods to make the machine a bit lighter or better balanced.

Morelic uses a straight rod. I believe he used whites rods to make it.

Makes a difference to me. The handle grip is padded a lot nicer too. For some reason the grip on the stock 705 shaft hurts my hand.

Not sure if he still makes them, but some dealers may still have a few in stock.

Found that I can use my center rod from my Tesoro to make a straight rod for the time being and only have to drill a couple of holes. Will more than likely get a carbon fiber shaft later but for right now this will suffice. Thanks to those that replied!

I went to my local sports emporium and picked up some tennis racket grip tape. Wrap that around the handgrip and it makes it a lot more comfortable and easier to swing, in my opinion.
