Just replace the upper section on your dual fields rod that is the S handle with the pistol grip that whites sells. Here is a pic of one I modded for an excal. You keep your middle rod and lower rod and just have to replace the upper section, even using the same armcuff.
whites used to sell the upper section with the push pins that hold the control box on, already installed, contact a whites dealer about that. If not, easy enough to drill two holes and mount the control box with nylon bolts. I think the upper rod is about $20.
