Story on White's website . . . . . thanks to White's for their support on this project!

A story of a great project I had the opportunity to work on last summer was just published on the White's website . . . . . . It was really a once-in-a-lifetime experience to work with the Lost Colony Project and recover artifacts dating back to to 1600's.

Another point to bring up that shows the caliber of the entire White's organization is that when I mentioned the project to them while discussing the new V3, Alan Holcombe and others immediately offered to help the effort and donated some equipment which was invaluable to the project.

We made some finds that would have otherwise have gone undetected and are helping to write a new chapter in the history books and thanks to the generosity from White's, the Lost Colony Project now has equipment for future excavations and surveys that they would otherwise not have had.

Here's the link to the story . . . . . . http://whiteselectronics.com/component/story/title/lostcol.html

What an exciting and educational excursion. Down right exciting. Thanks Andy and Whites . HH, Nancy

That's an excellent read. Wouldn't mind finding a few 1600's relics myself. :)

That's a wonderful story and to think you helped find a real part of American history that will be there for future generations to see . Whites is really a great company and shows they are interested in more than just making a buck . That was a once in a lifetime experience for you . Thanks for sharing it with us .

Harold . . . . . You are right about how White's approaches the industry. Customer service is second to none and to be honest, buying a detector strictly based on one feature or function and ignoring things like service, support and accessories is always a bad buying decision.

In the case of The Lost Colony Project, White's never required anything in return for their support and this is not the only time they have worked with professional archeologists, law enforcement and other entities without any expectation of a tangible return. But the intangible return comes back 1000 times over and since they started more than 50 years ago, it has shown up time and time again.
