Morris , Myself and a few other west Coast of Fl. hunters hit this beach on a regular basis. Morris has moved to Texas so I have it to myself now. Haven't seen many pirates there lately, not in the water just onshore. I will now have to hunt this saltwater Beach like I hunt the lakes and rivers, with my eyes wide open so I don't become the hunted. Here is a picture of the Beach just to refresh some of your memories of my trips there and an article from todays paper that may keep me away for awhile.

I LOVED THIS PLACE, I WILL GO BACK

I have read that only the big ones like that will attack........because they are bigger than their prey.

Thanks Bobbie, I think I'll skip your state for MD :lmfao:

Don't believe the article stated whether the gator was caught on land or in the water. They do tend to roam around on land but probably not in salt water. When I lived in South Florida, the word was that if a gator gets into salt water it will go blind. Can only imagine a blind gator swimming around and snapping at anything in order to get a meal. That might make a normally people shy gator a real menace. In Florida, that comes with the territory.

Ain't no gators that size in CT!!!...........but in FL that's a different story.

I lived at Hilton Head Is. SC. in the 70's and saw a gator in the surf twice. One waited till evening to cross the beach. People were swimming all around it and didn't know it was there.

Once they lose their fear of humans they get a bit testy. I used water ski over them back in the 70's and hunt them in the 90's "ain't nothin but a thang"
