Stopping power....

For brute knock down power, this particular weapon is hard to beat. I've used this weapon during firearms training courses against guys with automatic weapons. I was the only one in the field with a revolver shooting the FBI 10 course and came out on top in time and scores.. I used speed loaders against their clips in the same allotted time. I have a 40 cal. Glock model 23 also, in a shooting situation I prefer the 357 revolver. It will stop you without a doubt. Less proficient shooters might opt for the auto and it's many rounds.

Fred..........the 357 with magnum rounds is quite loud and deafening. I use ear protection with the magnum rounds/ without those you'll forget where you are :stars:after a dozen or so rounds ..........

is a huge factor and is not taken into consideration in this fellas study.
Then add things like velocities, state of mind and physical condition of victom etc..etc..
How i'm dressed has to do with what i carry at the time.
It's not so much the caliber that counts as it is the bullet designe.

Yer ultimate carry weapon is your mind and your feets.
Allways be aware and allways try to have an exit in your plan so you can run away if possible.
NOTHING materialisctic is worth takin a life over. Not yours OR your attackers'.

Never underestimate that little .40 gr .22 long rifle or the .38 special.

ALLWAYS trust , with your life, anything that Massad Ayoob writes.
He's "been there, done that" and is an international authority on the subject for both law enforcement and civilian.
