From the land of the Bluenose.....yesterday was indeed a busy one as we did an exercise with the Halifax Regional Fire Dept, Airport F.D. and our shift of special constables. Scenerio was that of an airbus that landed on runway Kilo and skidded off the end and caught fire. Notice the bouy that looks like a moving traffic pilon with all the orange on. Just glad no one tried to peel me.

Sort of neat watching these puppies at work as they can fill their tanks in less than three minutes and empty it into the portable bladder in less time then that.

Afterwards the airport firefighters put on a spread for all but my main meal came from my buddy Khanna who is from around Goa, India and makes some great curry dishes that he shares with me. Not sure what was in the dish of the day but went down some good and for the rest of the day I felt like royalty as I spent a couple of hours on the "throne."

Starting my four days off with a trip into the city to hit a major park/playing field and had a Kodak moment along the way as I took a few shots of the Northwest Arm looking towardd the Edmonds Grounds and the other the yacht club on Melville Island which goes back to the early 1800's and served as a military prison with it's walls full of broken glass that are mortored into the top.

Day was a nice one for a change and I went solo as Tony "T" was tied up for the day. Wasn't long before I had my quota and pushed myself thinking that a double quota of finds would facilitate inviting Bud to our shift party that evening. It was a done deal in a little over two hours and let me tell you mister man the fountain in the park sure looked aweful inviting for a dip and drink. Only oddity on this dig was a buckle and not sure if it is an old one. With the 100 coins tucked away in my pants I then................put Otto in gear and headed for a quick swish and to cool off.

and added 14 more coins to the total as well as another friend for Otto, some circle dewies and a game zone token. Total was $15.29 so now we are heading to the party double dating....Marie and I and Bud and Tia Maria.

All in,
Looks like you had a whale of a time bouy W/D.
A great haul man you really know your machine.
Nice pics as well with plenty of colour, thought that beach looked nice. Was it a fresh water lake beach?
