I talked to a landowner today and told her I was looking for civil war era home sites and she said my great great grand paw was in the confederacy ,and she goes on to tell me she knew where he lived. I know but I didn't get the permission yet. Then she says do you want to see a pic of him and this made my day.

A couple of my great great great grandfather's fought in the civil war both were part of the 5th Georgia Calvary. And it's always been fascinating hearing the stories.anf in another note 2 relatives fought in the revolutionary war and are listed as spies lol that was dangerous back then.

that's cool! you could get hung back in those days for that.
