Stock MX Sport headset, good audio but the volume control on cord

Tried out the stock MX Sport headset today, first time been using my favorite land set.
Really like the stock set audio, auctally better than my favorite.

Only thing and I'm sure others have noticed, the small thumb volume wheel easily gets bumped as you bend down to retrieve a target. Found myself constantly resetting the volume thumb wheel, in the future will tape the wheel so it's in a fixed position.

Because the volume wheel is so close to your neck/shoulder area, as move and twist the neck/shoulder area moves the wheel.

Easy fix, otherwise a nice lightweight headset.

I've been using the ultralights for a few months, I actually have two sets now. I really like them and use them as my go to headset. I actually like them better than sunrays as far as audio. Also I feel more aware of my surroundings than using larger headphones. And yes the volume wheel does get bumped out of place sometimes. It never occurred to me to tape the volume wheel in place! Hafta try that.

got my sport today but dont care for the phones to much, i do think i will use them some in the hot days. got a set of Killer Bs coming tomorrow.. all i do is relic hunt so i hope it works out. main reason i got it was to check some of the knee depth creeks that run in close to some of the dug in winter camps i hunt, worth a try this summer.

So far I have used both the on ear stock head phones shipped with the MX Sport and the White's Pro Stars. Both have quality sound. Pro Stars block out back ground noise better while the on ear stock head phones are very light and work very well. My choice at the beach will be the Pro Star head phone to block out the sound of the waves.

I agree, the lightweights help with surroundings, helps with awareness. My one cup headset are great but with some detectors including MX Sport audio is too soft, but the lightweights are great.

Thanks for sharing,
Paul

Yes, the pro stars kepp out ocean waves noise, great set. The lightweights are great too, my grab and go headset for the MX Sport, audio is super, good feel too.

Thanks,
Paul

quick question I know Whites is calling the headset for land use .But I was hoping to use them in neck deep water. Is the thumb wheel water proof ??

I don't think so, auctally the plug is not a waterproof plug. Plugs into the adapter, guess we need to wait until waterproof set are available.
