This is what happens when you don't dig a little junk. This roll of silver quarters was found buried under a flattened out beer can in a park. The can was full of probe holes but no one had bothered to dig it up - except me. :rofl:

And naturally a cartoon to go along with it.
When I first dug up this ring it appeared to look like gold. I guess the redish soil caused ut to look that way. I was so sure I couldn't top a find like that so I packed it all up and headed home. Stopped at the library to take a whiz and cleaned up the ring while I was there and discovered it wasn't even silver.
So I stopped at another park to detect some more. Didn't find much at all.
Wow! 10 bucks in silver quarters. What else did you find that day?

Hey I feel a lot better today. I found a silver 64 rosie in decent shap at a local school today to make up for the fake gold ring I found yesturday.
Tomorrow is "Stay at Home with the Littel Lady Day" But I'll have an extra hour of daylight for the evening.
