still using the original 8" coil on my 1266x. Is there any larger coil still available? Thanks, Willie ?

You can still get new or used 10.5" spider coil, anything that fits the 1270 will fit the 1266x, you can also get a 5" and 3 3/4" used but watch your connector there are 2 types of 3 3/4s out there. Also hard to find but there is also a 5x10 elliptical.

just looking for something that might give a little more depth. No complaints about the 1266 depth, but every little bit helps.
Thanks again, Willie

Me to I have learned to love the smaller coils, but I still like to have a good selection of coils big and small. You never know, you come across a nice clean area and that big coil is the one to go for, get into the trash and the little ones may make your day. My first Fisher was a 1265x and I loved that machine, but the CZs came out and I had to have one of those so I sold the 1265x. I had a little problem with the latch for the cover on the battery compartment. I just retired last year and found a 1266x and bought that to replace my 1265x.

Above I was talking about that 5x10 elliptical, I haven't had this one a long time, and haven't really tested it but it seems to have about the same depth as the std 8" and the coverage of a 10". I have high hopes for this coil.

yes the 1200 series 10.5 will work and the 5" also. 1270 coils will work.
