Gotta love that WOT coil. Went in where the boys are working every week with 1280's and used my WOT Sovereign combo in all metal. It's nice in that listening for carry overs gives you pulse-type depth with some discrimination. Using a meeter helps to ID some of the surface caps too. This band is 18K and even in all metal gave such a nice clean tone that there was no question that it needed to be dug up. although it was a small signal. Was down about a foot, I would guess beyond even the tornado. Thanks for the WOT lessons, BBSailor!

Thanks again BB. It's for sure a force to be reconed with. Caps and some of the iron gives a recognisable tone with two "ends". I have tested this again and again and it seems to hold true. except for some bobby pins that must be sitting straight up and down. Mind you it helps if you have done some pulse hunting because it's a lot of work. Another thing I take from pulse-hunting is recognising that deep iron won't carry as well as something non-ferrous. Even our Canadian coins whch have some steel in them sound off wide compared to the nice even ramps and tone of a clean gold signal. I also do a slow "wiggle" that nulls our some of these small iron bits that sound good. (Aussie stem helps and it's also good to keep that slow speed that Doc recomends). In disc the high iron matrix that we have here was just too much for even the Tornado. Hope your season is off to as good a start as mine.
