Still no Gold , but a little silver to ease the pain.

Went for a day long hunt 6 hrs. in the water. Started out at the exit for the rafters at the river I hunt near my house( 20 miles one way). Spent 3 hrs. at the exit then I left and went to the park where the rafters leave from. Spent 3 hrs. hunting the swim area and canoe launch and landing area. Allot of clad, fishing lead ,a silver ring, silver earring , one junk earring and a pair of sunglasses. It was 93 degrees today so the 72 degree water felt great.

Man what a beautiful spot and some nice looking silver to boot. A day well spent in any book. :clapping:

Yes, it could be much worse Joe! That's 2 streaks, one in '06, for 25 straight and one at the end of '07, through the 1st part of '08, for 27 straight. Tenacious perseverence will get cha the gold, if you faint not! Stay on it!

I need to come there and get past those bouys for you!!! It looks fantastic!! Nice finds.

Scuba,People drift 4 hrs. down this River, some have found jewelry by just looking from the surface on the sand bottom in places. I used to go down this River back in the 60's. I do not dive but very tempted to get a hookah just for this river. There is allot of weeds in areas of the River but some sand bars at about 8 to 10 feet deep. I would bet there are plenty of targets in the sand and weeds along the River I have not been down the River in 30 or so years, but it is crystal clear the entire length. No cans or glass bottles allowed on River so that cuts down on trash.

If you are ever in Fl. let me know I have a small dingy just sitting in my garage I kept on my big boat, even have a diver down flag I used when snorkeling. I know of two other Rivers that are loaded with people, but they are allowed to have Alcohol so to many pull tabs, cans and bottle caps They party on the sand bars at low tide, even during the winter they swim with the Manatees. HH

Hey Joe,

Decent find in a really great river. Hope they continue to keep it clean and folks like you help. Keep up the good work! This is Steve I met you at Fort Island Beach on my very first hunt. I'm still hunting and doing about th same a when we met. It's a learned thing I'm beginning to believe.

Take care and good hunting.
