Still looking for those deep shallow water targets :detecting:

I got out for a day of water hunting in an old shallow water swimming hole I hit a few weekends ago and had pulled four rings out of .

This time I tried the WOT, and I didn't feel it was getting that deep so I switched to the Sunray S12. I didn't do much better with the S12 (which seemed to do well the trip before), the day ended with about $4 in clad and a 2 Euro coin, buy no jewelery.

I didn't seem to be getting any deep signals, but then again maybe I was and I'm just not recognizing them.

I was going through Clive James Clynick's book

Depends on the location and if you have the sensitivity set to optimum. (that does not mean MAX or simply as high as you can go without falsing)
Some locations will get you a lot more depth in all metal, while in others disc mode can be just as good or a bit better.
