Still looking for a new detector

Ok I've been looking at the post for the 1350. BUT ! I see it gives up depth compared to the 1500. I don't like that. Then you have the hot 250. And the great things it is doing. Wow it's like buying a new car Things are starting to melt around here and I'm still without a detector So let's hear it guys give me your picks . Maybe the 1350 is the best of both the worlds who knows

Ted,
If this is your first detector, then I say go for the 250. The 250 will give you a detector without much investment. While enjoying the 250 you can research the others. Bill will be coming out with his report on the 1350 soon. I really think that if your facts are correct (about the depth comparison) and reading your statement "I DON'T LIKE THAT" you will not be happy with the 1350 vs the 1500.

I would suggest the GTI 1500. It gets great depth, has a variety of coils available, is lighter then the GTI 2500 (if that is a concern), is very sensitive to tiny objects, has a variety of programs to suit your hunting preferences, gets good depth and has the best imaging (sizing) feature available out there. If you like to hunt coins.....buy one now! You will get many more coins using the imaging feature, as you end up IDing junk and leaving it in the ground where it belongs. If you are a relic hunter, go towards the 2500, as it has a "True All Metal Mode".
Hope this helps Ted.....(All of Garretts detectors Are Fun To Use!)

Hi Ted-------The jury's still out as to whether the 1500 is deeper than the 1350. I've read the posts also and we're getting no definitive answers. From what I have heard the 1500 has, of course, better target imaging and has a bigger stock coil which that alone would probably add more depth but the two machines are the same other than that. Put the target imaging circuitry and a bigger coil on the 1350 and you have the same machine. Even the folks at Garrett won't argue that. It would be really great if someone could compare the two with all things being equal but that probably isn't possible.
