still inept in audio 1

thankyou all for your advice, Ive been experimenting some, but I keep getting flustered and swiching back to normal. I've been dolg that one can acheive greater depth and better target ID in audio one,is this true? why do you all use it? Maby I need to be taking baby steps to learn this thing. Any advice on how to set up the detector, and what techniques to employ? I'm going to repost this so it gets noticed.
Thanks again fellas

Todd

Heck my car will go 100 MPH but seldom goes over 65MPH...In other words just because its there you don't have to use..Have no doubt many use audio 1 with great results, but would bet normal is the favorite of most..Do take those baby steps and above all try to understand why you are taking..Do remember settings can be good or bad depending on you and your hunting area...I really believe experiemnting is part of the hobby, but once you find what works stay with it..

Todd,

I have had the same experience as you using AUDIO 1. Perhaps it might be a good idea to hunt in NORMAL. After detecting a target and drawing a conclusion what it is, then switch to AUDIO 1 and see how it sounds. Dig the target to determine what it actually is. After doing this sequence in both trashy and clean areas, then it might be easier to conclude when to use which setting.

See thats where we differ, my spedometer says my car only does eighty-five, but I still get it going faster once in a while. If I'm going to have all the bells and whistles, I'm going to eventualy want to be able to work them all. I may end up having no use for audio 1, but I would realy like to be able to use it.

I have been using Audio 1 for some time now and love it. It seems to strech out the signal and helps me with those "iffy" signals. I think I can pick deeper targets out easier but it my just be my imagination. I do like Audio 1 now that I am getting used to it. Audio Normal seems to short and choppy now.
