Still got a Silver ring today

GENE EDWARDS

New member
Went over a area i've worked two day in a row, and still pulled out a small silver ring. But if I find another 3 ounce fishin' weight I'm gonna scream! Over a hundred in four days. Think I'll go in to the lead business. now I know the real meaning of get the lead out. After about fifteen I have to go back to my truck and unload to keep my pants up. Oh well gotta cry on somebodys forum. Gene

Gudday Gene,
Keep looking, you will eventually come up trumps with the gold sooner or later.
I get kilos of lead when I go out and that usually means nobody has searched that area to date.
I tend to find gold in amongst the lead ladened areas. also get enough lead and cash it in at
the recycling depot, it makes a few $$$ on the side, not to mention you are also cleaning up the enviroment.
I often wonder if the pure lead sinkers over time have an effect on the fish, there must be thousands of tonnes
deposited over time, located just of shore around the world.
Anyway, chin up mate, it's just waiting to be picked up at the right time, the gold I mean.

HH and cheers from the Land downunder:ausflag::minelab:

Hey, Aushunter, please do not be offended in any way by what I say, because it's all meant to be complimentary. I love your English/Aussie spellings (Tonnes)- it's so very much classier than our rather blah American form of the language. I also love the accent that I can almost hear in your writing. I love accents, and would love to meet you and hunt with you some day, especially down under. What's the latest on the fires down there? Was your wonderful wine country (Yellow Tail, etc) damaged? I hope not, because I support your absolutely wondrous wines!!!

Hey gene

When you beach hunt with the GT do you hunt All metal or in Disc

Thanks Rob in Ca,

You could sell those sinkers to guys who cast their own bullets. I have been doing that with all the lead I find on beaches. Lead isn't cheap any more and it adds to my fun money.

Hey, lead is a blessing, not a curse Gene. If you are finding coins and lead, then gold and silver are usually in the mix, from my experience. I actually look for areas, like you are describing. Gold lives at the lead level, be thankful you are there!
