Unfortunately this coin has a nasty little scratch on the obverse, also a small ding in the rim at about the 10 o'clock position on the obverse also. The date is at about the 2 o'clock position on the obverse. The reverse in flawless with a beautiful coat of arms topped by a crown.

Awesome museum quality coin!! Your finding some incredible finds there in Germany!!! You might want to take a little trip to Toplitz lake and see if you can get some of those gold and silver bars that the Germans threw in there! lol!!!!

Goldstrike if the obverse on this coin had been as nice as the reverse this would have been as serious contender for the nicest silver coin that I had ever found. The coin has a very unusual chocolate brown toning.

Because of the exceptional quality of the coins your finding, I am guessing that it may indicate that there is no fertilizing going on in the ground there? :shrug:General what they introduce into the ground (chemicals) plays a huge part in the condition of the coins etc;.
