The delay is making me crazy
I still waiting on one more money order to show up to get that last 50 bucks in my pocket before I can tell the guy to ship. But it should be here today or tomorrow so Monday will be the big order day!!!!
Good news is, based upon my experience (1year) plus all the reading I've been doing, I think I have a pretty good understand how and why it works the way it does. I will just need experience in the 'when' part. So at this point I am not too concerned about the threshold and sensitivity settings, other than proving my theory. I am more concerned with mapping out the ID numbers and iron disc cutouts and notch ranges, so I can match my target number range to the target age of my hunt sites. Looks like I will have to convert my 0-100 non-ferrous target range to a more condensed version As well as spend some time matching iron targets to the iron range to determine breakpoints for it.
More convinced than ever that I made the right decision for a keeper machine, though.
Got the places all lined up to hunt. Looking forward to finding my first ever silver coin in over a years worth of hunting. Oldest coin to date I have found was a 1937 wheatback and I don't even know where I found that one, it just showed up in my tumbler after I cleaned a bunch of pennies
Waiting #####

Got the rest of the money. Tomorrows the official order day.
Wonder why I picked the C$ over the DFX?
Class will start soon

but the DFX is a real bear to learn as well. The C$ isn't that hard to learn to operate as is the DFX, its the language that the C$ uses. But one good thing, you can be out hunting in a few minutes with the C$, just read the manual, put it into factory preset mode and start swingin.
Good luck with the C$, you will grow to love it once you give it enough time. You will also love the display right off compared to you Cortes. You won't need glasses or have to squint to see it.

Had Big Red with me, bout first time out, we just wandered around being amazed and blown away at what all it could do, that was 2 yr ago, and am still that way

I was in a field with my buddy & I wasn't finding anything. He got a coin signal & I came over to check it & got nothing! Turns out, I had everything notched! I originally thought the little squares showing meant that would get rid of that area.....whoops....It was just the opposite
(oh well, I'm not the only one who's made that mistake;)
