sterling silver frog ring and 26 coins today

Well-known member
I went to the river today and the water is up about 2-3 feet. I started out good with a few dimes and then found a frog ring and when I got home I found out it was sterling silver, 92.5 mark on inside of ring band. The wind was blowing very strong out of the North-East and the waves on the river really wore me out. The worst thing was it muddied up the water and I really stuggled with getting my scoop in the right place and I got so tired my brain shut down. I was in a small coin spill and kept wandering why I was getting a signal when I was sure I had dug the target. I hope I didn't throw any coins or jewelry away while I was in this brain fog. This was aggravated by the tons of freshwater mussels and shells in every scoop. Lo and behold I went through the scoop and found 3 quarters, a dime and 2 nickels. Then I found some more coins in this spot but the waves wore me out. My clad count was 5-quarters, 8-dimes, 3-nickels and 10-pennies. The frog ring is the 2nd -92.5 sterling ring I have found since I started and the eyes look like small jewels or diamonds, but I'm not sure.
I tried to take some photos, but my lcd screen is just showing a diagonal slice of the picture and I will try to post some tomorrow. The most embarrassing thing that happened to me was when I tried to take my chest waders off and they just wouldn't slide down and I struggled for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with me besides the brain fog and realized at last I had my garrett finds pouch around my waist with a belt and I was really discombobulated about all this. I believe I will hit the spring tomorrow and give the river a rest. It will be too high for my 2500 by the end of this week anyway.
I sure need prayer. HH.

Buddy, that sounds like one tough day! Great finds though, I got into a spill like that in the water once too, kept on digging and dumping the scoop, only to have signals everywhere! big coin spill I think happens when people stand on their heads in the water I suppose, and everything dumps out of their pockets in one spot! Be careful, did you get hypothermia? When a fellows core temp drops, it starts to do strange things to the brain..yes, I think its time you checked out the spring, I think theres something good waiting just for you.
Mud

Fun, keep what mud is saying in the back of your mind.
Don't let hunt be the hunted. The environment can't controlled

HH God has a good sense of humor and He's surely going to
laugh when I approach him in prayer. Lord I just would like to pray
for fongu,Whats that George FUNGU LORD LOL

This is my prayer Father Lord that he would have clearness of mind that you would
watch over and protect him as he seeks after his third maybe forth
passion in life may you give him solace and reward him abundantly and
may all those who come in contact with him be richly blessed. May metal
detecting become a mission field that when in direct contact with this man of God
that many come to know the loving grace of you established by the sacrifice of your son.
In Jesus Name I pray Amen God Bless you Brother! great finds by the way

I meant to post a photo of the frog ring today, but I left my camera at my Mom's place. The power commission is letting the water in faster than they drained it out and I really hope to go tomorrow afternoon and all day Saturday. It all depends on the water's depth. This river has been good to me, but it's got it's licks in too. HH.

Thanks for the prayer, I sure needed it. Yesterday, I tried to turn my Mom's ac on, but left it in the heat mode and could not figure out why it would come on when I raised the temperature but not when I lowered it. It got so hot yesterday and I was at the panel box flipping the breakers off and on and was getting ready to call the repairman when I tried the auto/on fan switch and it didn't come on and then I said I will just put the switch in the middle and try to reset it and I finally realized that I had the heat switch on instead of the ac switch. I would have been quite embarrassed if I had called the tech guy and he charged me for being dumb. Maybe it's best I haven't been able to go back metal detecting like I wanted to, because I sure have been confused here lately. I just had a birthday, so maybe that's it, I'm too old (59) to cut the mustard anymore. lol HH I wish I had a reset switch like my garrett detector and the ac.
It's not the age that gets you anyway, it's the miles.
